James Brian Lloyd

James Brian Lloyd 1943 ~ 2009 James Brian Lloyd, 66, passed away September 8, 2009 after a valiant battle with Alzheimer’s and coronary heart disease. He had been receiving medical care in Lubbock, Texas for the past several months. Jim was born to Wesley and Valene Lloyd, Riverton, Utah, July 12, 1943. After high school, he joined the US Air Force and was stationed at Holloman AFB in New Mexico. Later, he married and chose to make his home in Tularosa, New Mexico. He loved country and western music and Merle Haggard was his favorite artist. Survived by wife Julie, sons, Victor Dewey, Thomas Robert, and Frank Wesley, brothers, Douglas (Joan), Robert, sisters, Leah (Wayne) Bird, Carol (Robert) Odenwalder, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents and sister-in-law Sandra N. Lloyd Jim requested his body be donated to Texas Tech University, School of Medicine, Lubbock, Texas to be used for the advancement of medical science teaching and study. There will be no memorial service. We will always remember him as a wonderful brother, husband, father, and friend.
