James Kenneth Lockhart, 90, of Fishers, formerly of Anderson and Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on June 19, 1935, to James Kyle and Alma (Carey) Lockhart. He is survived by his wife, Donna Hutsell Lockhart; children, Kim (Stan) Deal, Kerri (Bruce) Ludolph, Kelly (Mark) Smith, and Jeffrey (Nancy) Lockhart; grandchildren, Nicholas (Ashley) Deal, Michelle (Tim) Cantwell, Zachariah (Holly) Smith, Lydia (Ben) Rexroth, Jacob (Christina) Lockhart, Julia Smith, Kyle (Hannah) Lockhart, Lahna Ludolph, and Maggie (Kennedy) Parker; and fourteen great grandchildren with one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of sixty-three years Grada (Hogue) Lockhart in 2018; and sisters Mary McKenney, Norma Bretz, and Shirley Garrison.
Ken was a 1953 graduate of Holmes High School in Covington, KY and a 1957 graduate of Anderson College. Ken was a businessman, entrepreneur, networker, visionary, and world traveler. He was a generous son, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a loyal alumnus of Anderson University and was actively involved at Church at the Crossing. He loved to travel with family and friends. His heart for missions led him all around the world, especially to Kenya where he had a lasting impact through generous giving and personal involvement.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Church at the Crossing, 9111 Haverstick Road, Indianapolis, IN 46240, at 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken’s honor to The Gideons International, or to Anderson University, 1100 E. 5th Street, Anderson, IN
