James Edsel Loftis, 78, of Little Rock, passed away on Wednesday, March 18th, 2009. James was born on July 6th, 1930 to the late L.B. and Lizzie Loftis in Formosa, Arkansas. He was a master plumber and owned River City Plumbing for many years. James was retired from the Naval Reserves and was a member of American Legion. He loved being outdoors and hunting and fishing were some of his favorite activites. He was a family man who cherished his time with his wife, children and grandchildren. James never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Katie of Little Rock, his children Susan Walker and Edwin (Shannon) Loftis, both of Alexander, Donna Loftis of Little Rock, Jeannette Loftis of Jacksonville and Edith (Bobby) Turner of Little Rock, his brother Ermie Loftis of Little Rock, twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, March 21st, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home. 5800 West 12th Street Little Rock, Ar 72204 (501)661-9111. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 20th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
