James Lombard

James Lombard, age 73 of Mantua Township, NJ passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at home. Born in Philadelphia to the late Vincent Lombard and Jean (nee Gallagher), he earned his bachelor's degree from Glassboro State College in 1973. Jim started his educational career in the Collingswood Public School System where he was in special education and then was an educator at St. John of God Community Services also specializing in special education. He was the superintendent of the special needs Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church for 10 years and was a member of the boy scouts Philadelphia Council.
He is survived by his wife, Marie (nee Cheesman); two sons, Robert James & Donald Lombard; and three brothers, Steve, Jerry, and Joseph Lombard.
Relatives and friends may visit from 10 AM to 11 AM on Saturday, May 17th at Smith Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Mantua, NJ where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM. Entombment will be private at Arlington Cemetery, Pennsauken, NJ. As an expression of sympathy, contributions can be made to Zion Community Church, 242 Kings Highway, Clarksboro, NJ 08020.
