James Nickolas Lowry

It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of our beloved James Nickolas Lowry ‘Nick’. He was called home to be with the Lord on the morning of August 31, 2025. Nick is survived by his only son, James Nickolas Lowry Jr., his granddaughter Esmi Lealani Lowry, his brothers Edward Mares, Johnnie ‘Rambo’ Jones, and Joe Herrera Jr. He was predeceased by his mother Petra Mares Herrera. Nick was well known in the greater East side of Austin, TX. Some called him the midnight mechanic, or you may have known him for doing a side job upon request. Always lending a helping hand. Nick made a living as a carpenter with expertise in bathroom remodeling and mechanics. Everyone knew him for his kindness, his generosity and his strong faith in Jesus Christ. We welcome you to celebrate his life at All Faiths Funeral Home, 8507 N IH-35 Service Rd., Austin, TX 78753 on Wednesday September 24th, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
