So sad to learn of his passing so belatedly. My condolences to all his family, community, and students. I had the honor of meeting Professor Luna for a diversity program in Fort Collins Colorado and also attended his performance in Laramie, Wyoming the week of Matthew Shepherd's murder. His presence was such a gift for all of us. Rest in peace.

I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the family for their loss of an artistic expressionist. I hope you find comfort and help in God during this time of sorrow.

I was so sad when I heard the news. I have known James for a very long time. James was a very good friend of my brother Matthew. He even flew to Nevada when my brother had a stroke, to visit him. He will be dearly missed. Mary

James performed in Chicago a number of years ago and my husband and I had a reception for him.
He stayed overnight with us accompanied by a long time friend of mine. He left my husband and me a beautiful gift from his performance. We spent New Years Eve with James & friends in San Diego.
He was kind, generous, funny, smart and complicated.
