James Robert Mahaffey

James Robert Mahaffey (Mac) was born July 7, 1940, in Orange Grove, TX. He passed peacefully on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 83. James graduated high school in Orange Grove, TX before joining the military. He served in the United States Marine Corps. for 12 years He worked at Acme Brick and drove trucks for many years.
He enjoyed working on small engines and was always willing to help. He always had a tool in his hand and enjoyed hanging out with his buddies and watching football.
James is survived by his partner; Mary Jane David (Janie), son: James Robert Mahaffey Jr. (Jim), and wife Jill. Alyssa and Bryce Mahaffey, daughter: Lori Meza and husband (Leonardo), Mercedes and Mariah Meza (Kaleb Johnson), great-grandchildren: Uli, Katalia, Lilyana, Sammy Arriaga, Grace Ann Johnson, daughter: Roxanne Mahaffey, Lesley Battles (husband Jason), Chance Gary, Christian Moreno, Caydon Battles, granddaughters: Kaitlyn and Brylei Mahaffey, brothers: Alvin Boehm, Ernest Boehm, (wife Linda), Sisters: Barbara Mahaffey, Sandy Pustka (husband James), and Mac had numerous nieces and nephew who loved him.
He is preceded in death by his dad: Henry Mahaffey, mother: June Boehm, stepdad Edgar Boehm, brothers; Leslie Mahaffey, Bill Mahaffey, and Larry Boehm, son; Larry Joe Mahaffey, grandson; Darrion Mahaffey and granddaughter; Dahnetta Mahaffey.
