James Matlock

James Lloyd Matlock, the son of Albert Troy and Vena (White) Matlock, was born on January 27, 1937, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, at the age of 87. His life was a testament to the enduring strength of family, friendship, and the simple joys that make a life well-lived.
Lloyd built a legacy as a skilled carpenter, crafting not just structures but also the framework for countless memories in the homes he helped to create. His work ethic was only surpassed by his dedication to his family, which was the true cornerstone of his existence.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Nellie Matlock, and his son, Troy Matlock, Lloyd's loving spirit is carried on by his daughter, Brenda Airehart, and his sons Earl, Randy, and Jimmy Joe Matlock. His legacy also lives on through the laughter and love of his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, who will continue to honor his memory by embracing the values he instilled in them.
He was a man who loved the outdoors, whether he was waiting for a fish to bite, working on vehicles, or tending to his garden. You could always bet there was a Good Money twist in his pocket.
