The Chicago area Churches of Christ extends condolences and words of consolation to the family of the late Dr. James O. Maxwell. Dr. Maxwell was indeed a true defender of the "faith once delivered" and a genuine "Sir Galahad of God." Not only was Dr. Maxwell an astute ambassador for the cause of Jesus Christ, he was a compassionate individual who sought to encourage everyone he interfaced with. May the peace of our "Risen Redeemer" and "Heaven's Hero" be upon his entire family

Brother Maxwell was an astute educator, a kind hearted person with personal integrity & love for SWCC and the Lord. Many have been blessed by his presence in this world, and He will be missed. I remember his discussion about an expectation to be " looked for "when your spouse comes home. It matters. :)
