James Paul "Whistle" McClelland

James Paul "Whistle" McClelland, 75 of Home, passed away on Tuesday December 2, 2025 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

He was born May 19, 1951 to Robert L. and Edna Mae "Mazie" (Stockdill) McClelland in Indiana.

He was a 1969 graduate of Marion Center High School. Whistle was a master mechanic being a certified trained Harley Davidson technician from Milwaukee, Ford Factory Certified ASE technician, through Ford Motor School a Kawasaki certified trained technician along with a trained Arctic Cat technician. Before becoming a coal truck driver, he was employed at the York Harley Davidson Assembly Plant. Whistle was employed for Black and Gold Transport as a coal truck driver for over 25 years. Whistle took great pride in his work. There was not a motor he could not fix. Whistle's main focus was on his family and was a dedicated son, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by two children, Lon P. "Jr." McClelland, and wife Jacqueline, North Point, Nicole M. Filipovich, Home, four grandchildren, James McClelland, Jason McClelland, Michael Stewart, and Ethan Stewart, a great grandson Jasper McClelland.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Sharon Weaver

A Celebration of Life gathering will be celebrated on Saturday December 13, 2025 from 1PM until 5:00 PM at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, 898 Old Route 119 North, Indiana, PA 15701.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, which Whistle was a longtime supporter of.
