James was born in Wallonia, Kentucky (Trigg, CO) on November 28, 1932, to the late Harvey and Lillie (Dossett) McCormick. James served in the U.S. Army, serving in Korea. In 1963 James owned and operated a service station, until he closed in the middle of 1984. In September of 1984 James, his wife Ovidean and son Jimmy, took over The Bait Bucket, in Evansville, Indiana, where James worked until he passed on November 8th.
James leaves behind his son Jimmy, many Nieces and Nephews and even more that he called his friends. James is preceded in death by his loving wife Ovidean, whom James was married to for 68 years, whom passed away on December 6, 2023.
James leaves behind many stories, some true, some we still are unsure of.
