James McCullom Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 9, 2026.
James Patrick McCullom, born on June 19, 1955, in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, passed away peacefully at the age of 70 on February 28, 2026, in Chesapeake, VA.
Throughout his life, James was known for his dedication and work ethic as an automotive painter. He took great pride in his craft, ensuring every project was completed with precision and care. His commitment to excellence left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside him.

Beyond his work, James found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending time at the beach in Corolla, OBX, where the waves and sand provided him with peace and rejuvenation. His fondness for the water also brought him countless cherished moments on the boat with family and friends. Family vacations to Kerr Lake and Bryce Ski Resort were highlights of his life, filled with laughter, love, and adventure.

A man of integrity and passion, James's legacy lives on through his son, Ryan, and his wife, Emily McCullom. His grandchildren, Cash and Stella, were the lights of his life, and he took great pride in watching them grow and flourish.

James was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Horace and Shirley McCullom; his loving wife, Catherine McCullom; and his siblings, Linda and Bobby McCullom. Though they have passed, their memory continues to inspire those who knew them.
