Mr. James “Jimmy” McCurry, Jr. age 62 of Shelby, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 22, 2023.
He is survived by two sisters, Rita Hayes (Larry) of Shelby, NC, and Debra Spurling (Randy) of Shelby, NC, a brother Scott McCurry (Jamie) of Shelby, NC, four nephews, Travis (Krystal) Spurling and Andy Spurling and Chris (Laura) Hayes and Shannon Hayes.
Born December 4, 1961, in Cleveland County, NC, Jimmy was the son of James McCurry Sr. and the late Geraldine Green McCurry.
Jimmy was a loving son, brother, and uncle. He always brought a smile to your face and will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel conducted by Rev. Kelly Dodson. A visitation will be held from 1:00pm – 2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. A burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
