James LeBron McGuffey, age 85, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Claudia Wilson McGuffey, sons, David (Melinda) McGuffey, Kenneth McGuffey; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward McGuffey and Mary "Mae" Elizabeth Martin McGuffey; sisters, Velma Goolsby, Doris Wood and Joyce McGuffey Rhea; brothers, Neal McGuffey and Edward McGuffey.
James proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Before retiring James worked as a Plant Manager at a packaging facility. James and Claudia were member of Hebron Baptist Church.
A Funeral Service Honoring the Life of James will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 2:30PM at Hebron Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 16th from 2:00PM until the time of service at 2:30PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association.
