James McTeague Obituary

James "Jim" Edward McTeague passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025, in Transitions Healthcare, Washington, after a 15-month illness. Jim was born April 20, 1947, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Edward Hugh and Helen Suhayda McTeague. On October 24, 1970, he married Ellen Darlene Clouston, who passed away October 7, 2001. He was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School. Jim retired from Superior Valve after 20 years of employment. He previously worked as a security guard for the Morris Detective Agency. He enjoyed stock car racing, Nascar, eating out, his dogs, and taking a nap. Jim was a past member of the Glenn Street Methodist Church in Washington. He is survived by three children, Mikeal McTeague, Stephen McTeague, and Debra (John) Corbly; his sister, Ruth Ann (Kenneth) Cumer; his good friend, Felicia Haddix; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are private and entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. He will be laid to rest at Washington Cemetery alongside his wife.

I remember Jim from high school. We graduated together. He was always a laid-back, easygoing, soft-spoken guy. We got along well. Rest In Peace Jim.
