James Mihalko Obituary
He was born on May 1, 1948 in Philipsburg, the son of the late Metro and Virginia (McGhee) Mihalko
Jim was 1966 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School. He retired from PennDOT after 37 years of service. He was member of the First United Methodist Church in Houtzdale, and was a member over 50 years at the Osceola Masonic Lodge #515 F&A.M and the Jaffa Shrine.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Carol (Elling) Mihalko; a daughter, Melissa (Tim) Shetrom; a son, Douglas (Laura) Mihalko; four grandchildren, Justin Shetrom, Brooke Mihalko, Brady Mihalko, and Brynne Mihalko; and a brother-in-law, Paul Johnson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James A. Mihalko, Jr.; and a sister, Brenda Johnson.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. Saturday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., Ramey. Pastor Robert Ford will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First UMC, 811 Clara St., Houtzdale, PA 16651, or The Gridiron Club, 4934 Green Acre Rd., Houtzdale, PA 16651.

Another memory is visiting Jim & Brenda as cousin kids at their home with my parents, Andrew & Christine Mihalko. Uncle Mitch & Aunt Virginia were always fun & gracious. My deepest sympathies to Carol and the entire family. May God comfort all of you at this time.

When I was a little girl, my pap, John Eyerly would take me over to James´ home and he would feed me pickled eggs. Ever since, I called him pickled egg man. James was very good to my Pap and would always check on me to see how I was doing and to tell me my Pap loves me. I will continue to think of James every time I eat pickled eggs. My heart and condolences go to the family. James will be very much missed by the Eyerly family.
