Col. James "Jim" Edward Miller, 50, passed away on June 11, 2011. James was a graduate of Arkansas Technical University in Russelville, Arkansas where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. He was an avid cave diver and outdoorsman. James served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserves for 31 years, attaining the rank of Colonel. Jim served in Desert Storm during his military career. James will be greatly missed by his mother, Margaret Miller; father, Larry A. Miller, Jr.; brother, Michael and sister-in-law, Robyn; two nieces, Krista and Kailyn Miller; one step-niece, three step-nephews, and his loving companion, Jackie Booth. WKPP Donation - Jim Miller Memorial Fund In lieu of flowers Jim's family has requested that a donation be made to the WKPP in his memory. The Jim Miller Memorial Fund will be used for continuing diver training and safety education efforts as approved by the family. WKPP is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), tax-exempt charitable organization, and as such all donations to the WKPP are tax-deductible as allowed by law. http://www.gue.com/jimmillermemorial

Please accept my deepest sympathies for this great loss. COL Miller was not only a fellow Soldier but also an incredible friend to me. He will be sorely missed not only by me but by all who had the pleasure of getting to know him.
