James R. Minnich

1955 - 2025

James Richard "Jim" Minnich, 70, of Irwin, passed away at home on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025. He was born on Sept. 27, 1955, in Irwin, the youngest son of the late Joseph Rossman and Sylvia Marie Minnich. Jim was a dedicated, caring, loving, and compassionate husband and father. He loved his family and would sacrifice anything to make sure those he loved got whatever help he could provide, whether that be a place to sleep, help with a car, getting picked up in the middle of the night, a wake-up call in the morning, a reminder of the weather and to wear a coat, or just someone to listen. He was always there. He enjoyed listening to his record collection that he built over decades with his passion for '70s music, telling stories about his parents and grandparents or his time at Giant Eagle, everything related to cars, going to Ocean City for vacation, and watching classic movies and TV shows. When visiting his house, it was almost always guaranteed that there would be an episode of his favorite show, "Perry Mason," on in the background. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Ronald, Charles "Bobby," and Norman "Butch"; sister, Juanita "Dee"; mother-in-law, Donna Marie Colbert; and his late wife and Jayson's mother, Janice Marie Minnich. He is survived by his wife, Karen Lee Radziminski; son, Jayson Richard (Gina Marie) Minnich; brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Janine Bell; father-in-law, Gerald Colbert; nephews, CJ (Danielle), Nick, and Ethan (Laura) Bell; two sisters, Joan and Jackie; and many others in his extended family. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. with a service to follow at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME INC., 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642.
