James William Morgan, February 14, 1965 - September 15, 2025. It is with great sorrow and heavy heart to announce that James William Morgan of Bumpus Mills, TN has passed to the Lord at the age of 60, peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones.
William was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. Many knew William to be kind and compassionate, willing to give the shirt off of his back to anyone who needed it. His selflessness knew no bounds. William was a devout Christian and was a member of Bumpus Mills Missionary Baptist Church. He was also a hard worker, working for the North Stewart Water Department for over 30 plus years.
James William Morgan is preceded in death by his father, Troy Morgan Sr.; mother, Shirely Darlyne Morgan Skyles; brother, Troy Morgan Jr.; and sister, Jacqueline Anderson.
William is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Janie Morgan; daughter Jennifer Threatt (Ricky Booth; sons, Justin Morgan and Jonathan Morgan; grandchildren, Ashley Threatt and Andrew Threatt (Shelby Nolin); great-grandchild, Camden Threatt. William is also survived by nieces, Amber Sisemore (Matt), Trystyn Cheyenne Morgan; nephews, Mike Todd (Dana), Randy Anderson (Ola), Aaron Janson, Hunter Dennis; great-nieces, Madalene Sisemore, Raney Day Janson, Roselee Anderson; great-nephews Ina Janson, Caleb Anderson, Luke Anderson and Logan Anderson.
A visitation will be held at Anglin Funeral Home on Thursday, September, 18, 2025 beginning at 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will resume at Anglin Funeral Home on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 10:00 am and continue until the funeral service at 11:00 am with Mike Wallace and Bro. Jerry Shelton officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearer for William are Justin Morgan, Jonathan Morgan, Andrew Threatt, Ian Janson, Caleb Anderson, Luke Anderson, and Logan Anderson. Honorary pallbearers are Junior Miller and Terry Hester.
