James Clinton "JC" Morris

James Clinton Morris, affectionately known as "JC," passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Salem, Virginia. He was born on March 12, 1935, in Carroll County.

JC most recently retired as a truck driver from Kroger. Even after retirement, he continued doing reupholstery, which was truly his passion. He enjoyed a wide range of hobbies including baseball, fast-pitch softball, hunting, fishing, and traveling on vacations. JC was a proud member of the Moose Lodge since 1962 and was also a dedicated member of the Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his father, Posey G. Morris; his mother, Myrtle B. Morris; and his brothers, Fred Morris and Gene Morris.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Joyce T. Morris and her sons, Robert Falls (Melissa) and Jimmy Stinnett; his sons, Mike Morris and Randy Morris (Lisa); his grandchildren, Darlene Luttrell (Ryan), Philip Morris (Jaime), and Forrest Morris (Basia); his great-grandchildren, Roan Luttrell, Kaylin Luttrell, Oliver Morris, Elliott Morris, and Klara Morris; and his sister, Mary Ellen Quesenberry.

A graveside service will be held on March 21, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Shockley Cemetery on Shockley Road (Route 848), Hillsville, Virginia 24343.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made toward the upkeep and care of the family-owned cemetery. Donations may be sent to Paul Shockley, 589 Nester School Road, Dugspur, Virginia 24325.
