James Lee "Jim" Morrison age 68 of Grand Detour passed away on Thursday Nov. 20, 2025 at OSF St. Katharine Hospital in Dixon. He was born on July 9, 1957 in Compton, IL the son of Robert and Martha (Kessler) Morrison. Jim was a painter for 42 years working at Etnyer in Oregon and Midway Painting. He enjoyed playing pool, tending to his garden, being outdoors especially bow hunting for deer. Jim married Tina Marie Francke on June 13, 2009 in Grand Detour. He is preceded in death by his parents and pet pug Junior. Jim is survived by his wife Tina, son Lee James Morrison, daughter Faith Morrison, step children Carrie Lyn (Cory) Sporel, Corey (Jackie) Francke, step grandchildren Cheyenne, Cayne, and Brantley. Cremation rites have been accorded with a celebration of life will be on Satruday Dec. 13, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Last Stop in Dixon. Burial of cremated remains at Grand Detour Cemetery to be held at a later date. Arrangements by the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. Condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com
