James L. "Jim" Morrow, a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on November 29, 1950, in Neenah, Wisconsin, to Lawrence Morrow and Alice (Bjorkman) Morrow.
Throughout his life, Jim battled Type 1 Diabetes, a challenge he faced with incredible strength from the age of thirteen. Despite this ongoing struggle, he always exuded positivity and determination. He often joked that it was his goal to be the longest living diabetic. He spent most of his career in retail, beginning as a buyer and later becoming a small business owner who specialized in sporting goods and outdoor equipment. This role gave him opportunities to travel around the world.
In addition to his thriving career, Jim’s heart was firmly rooted in his family. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Michelle Morrow (nee Jessop), whose memory he cherished until the very end. Jim was also preceded in death by his beloved parents, Lawrence and Alice Morrow.
Jim is survived by his son, Kris (Anne) Morrow, and will be forever remembered by his grandsons, Nicholas and James Morrow, all of whom he adored deeply. He also leaves behind his brother, Scott (Cindy Houle) Morrow.
An avid sports enthusiast, Jim had an unwavering love for baseball and enjoyed watching his son and grandsons play the sport. He found joy in going on cruises with his wife and friends, exploring new destinations and embracing the beauty of adventure together. His kindness and selfless nature extended beyond his family, as he was a caregiver not only for Michelle but also for his parents, exemplifying his core values of compassion and respect.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jim's life during a visitation on March 10, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM, at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Rd, Mason, Ohio 45040.
In leu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim's name can be made to Breakthrough TD1 which funds research for Type 1 Diabetes.
