James Murphy Obituary
Jim was the son of the late James A. and Sarah (Payne) Murphy and was born in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from Roman Catholic High School.
Beloved husband of the late Bernadine B. ( Breen); Loving Father of Gregory (Sonia) Murphy, Carolyn (Kevin) Bleil and Eileen Gallagher; Cherished Grandfather of Christine, Michael, Jennifer, Christopher, Jacqueline and Matthew and great grandfather of Ava. Also survived by his brother Charles Murphy and sister in law Ann Marie. He is predeceased by his sister Bernadette (McFadyen) He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, Sea Isle, Villanova basketball, the Phillies, watching old movies, doing home improvements and dining out.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Friday March 20, 2026 9:30am Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA 19342 and to his Funeral Mass 10:30am in the Church. Int. SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
Flowers can be sent to the church or contributions can be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 5300 Chester Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19143.
