When I think of Jim one word always resonates: Compassion, and Jim examples just that. I do not know of another individual that was more considerate, kind, and caring than Jim. He was also extremely compassionate about nature. As far as attributes, was there anything Jim did not excel at? He was among the most brilliant individuals I have even known, as he was an intellectual genius, excelling in mathematics, but was good at everything including music and sports. But for me, he was the best at gracing humanity, care, and dignity. Jim´s friendship fostered lifelong loving memories that have forever enriched our lives. It goes without saying; Jim enriched the lives of everyone that was blessed to have known him.
Jim will be sorely missed and never forgotten!

Jim was a fun guy! He always amazed me with his knowledge on so many different topics. He enjoyed telling stories about his life experiences and hearing his laugh would enlighten those around him. His words of encouragement, support and love for family will always be appreciated and greatly missed.

Jim was a wonderful person, always looking for ways to help family as well as strangers. His love for nature was just as strong, and did his part to help protect it. His love for baseball was also strong, as anytime during the season he would have a game on. He was always there for me and my family, and will be forever missed.

Mark and I were so saddened by Jim´s passing. He was a thoughtful, kind and generous man. I´ll always remember the time he and Chris sent me a substantial gift card to use for my classroom when there were budget cuts. I have fond memories of the three of us spending a wonderful time in Lake Tahoe in the summer of 2005. We will remember Jim fondly as a good friend.

Jim was one or the kindest men I knew. He would come to pick Chris up from work, or just pop in to see her and he would start straightening all our crackers. People thought he worked there. He had a "hello, how are you" for everyone one in our store, customers and employees. Jim will surely be missed by everyone whose life he touched. Rest in peace my friend.

James was one of my favorite guests at the Hyatt casino. He was so quick to get to his favorite machines. He really cared about people, he was so genuine and kind. James always laughed at my jokes. He always seems so happy to see me. His hugs were amazing rest in paradise James I will miss talking to you about so many different things specially politics.

I remember enjoying watching baseball with my father when I was a kid, always rooting for Atlanta. And when I was just starting out playing Little League, I always had a lot of trouble with making contact when I was in the batter's box. I remember dreading my first at-bat in an actual game, because I didn't want to embarrass myself by doing poorly. I ended up, to my shock, hitting a solid groundout right back to the pitcher. I remember being upset and in tears because I had gotten out, but my Dad was there to reassure me that I had done really well just to make contact at all. And he said that a lot of his own at-bats when he first started, ended with strikeouts, so I had already succeeded just by making good contact at the plate. It was that little spark of hope that kept me going... even though I didn't get a lot of hits that year. It was one of the first great memories of playing baseball that helped keep the love of the game strong. Even all this time later, I still think about that Little League at-bat, and him always knowing how to find the positive side and keep the optimism going. And that's just how he was - he found the positives in life, the humor in every situation he could, and passed down his wisdom to me the best he knew how. I'll always remember him as someone who did his best and fought with strength, no matter who or what stood in his way.

Uncle Jim was a wonderful guide to the world. He introduced me and my brother to so many new places and experiences. He introduced us to music, and encouraged our interests with our first guitars, first cook books, first breath of mountain air-perhaps more importantly, the mentality that the world was our oyster from a young age. I´m grateful for his place in my childhood and he will always be remembered and loved.
