James C Nico

NICO, James C., 73, of Ridge Manor, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Bayfront Health Brooksville. He was born in Spring Valley, Illinois and came here in 1996, from Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated from St. Mary's High School and attended Cornell University and Miami Dade Community College. He was catholic by faith and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, life member of the Knights of Columbus where he was a past Grand Knight and past Faithful Navigator, life member of VFW 10209, past member of the Kiwanis and the Air Force Sergeants Association. James retired after 20 years from the United States Air Force where he served during Vietnam. James is predeceased by his son, Peter, and is survived by his wife of 18 years, Frances of Ridge Manor; 2 sons: Anthony Nico and his wife, Meg, of Allen, TX; Christopher Nico of Warner Robbins, GA; 3 step-sons: Edward Bogert and his wife, Colleen, of Brazil; John Bogert and his wife, Christine of Phoenix, AZ; Anthony Bogert and his wife, Jennifer of Buckeye, AZ; 3 step-daughters: Christine Bogert of Ridge Manor, FL; Patricia Meester and her husband, Josh, of Colorado Springs, CO; Cathy Coleman and her husband, Christopher of Phoenix, AZ, 2 daughter-in-laws; Lisa Britt and her husband, James of Warner Robbins, GA; Tina Nico of GA; 27 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 10 a.m., at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow with full military honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
