James E. Nixon

James Edward Nixon, born on July 11, 1958, in Wheeling, West Virginia, passed away peacefully in his hometown on December 4, 2025, at the age of 67.

James dedicated his professional life to serving his community as a skilled Heat and Air Conditioning Installer with Johnson Boiler Works. His commitment to his craft and his work ethic were admired by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry E. Nixon; his mother, Irma J. Nixon (Rogerson); and his brother, Bill Nixon.

James is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Jodi L. Nixon, who stood by his side through life's many seasons. He leaves behind his most cherished son, Matthew E. Nixon, and daughter-in-law, Isabella Ice, who brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Stacy Shanley, and her husband, Tony Lekanudos; his stepson, Jay Shanley; and his four treasured grandchildren, Kameryn, Donovan, Tyree, and Kinsley.

His memory will be carried on by his brothers, Gary Nixon and his wife Kelly, and Rick Nixon; his sister, Kelly McGrail; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many special friends who were touched by his kindness and warmth.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal services. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff at Liza's Place for their compassionate support during his final days. Memorial contributions in James's honor may be made to Liza's Place, ensuring that their invaluable work continues to touch the lives of others.

James will be remembered for his quiet strength, his dedication to his family, and the love he shared with those around him. May he rest in peace.
