James was born on June 13, 1939 and passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018. James was a resident of Michigan at the time of passing. Jim was a Russian-language specialist and an early adopter of computer technologies in the US Air Force, after which he joined Honeywell, Inc. to teach computer programming to recent college graduates. The family invites you to an Irish wake and celebration of life to be held at Spring Lake Country Club on Thursday, June 14 5:30-7:30 p.m. A requiem mass will be held Friday, June 15 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spring Lake, visitation with the family one hour before the service at the church. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lansing at a later date. Donations may be made to: Friends of Ottawa County Parks PO Box 84, Lamont MI 49430 [email protected] http://friendsofocp.org/ Celebration of Life at the Spring Lake Country Club from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on June 14, 2018. Contributions in his memory may be made to Friends of Ottawa County Parks.

Dear Jeanne,
My thoughts are with you. I have lately been thinking of what a wonderful couple you were...so happy together, considerate and caring. I had not heard of Jim' s passing and did a bit of web browsing to learn about it.
He will always be a part of you. Some of my most happy dreams are when Mike and I are together. I then awaken to this new reality. My prayers are with you as you move forward with strength and dignity.

Dear Jeanne, Oh! it's been too long. Thanks to Patsy and Ray, I've been kept informed. Jim is in a better place! May he rest in peace!

But you and your children and grandchildren! Why was not the following surprising? Congratulations to the author!

"He leaves behind a large and loving family, including his wife Jeanne McKenna O'Brien, who loved him well throughout more than 60 years together and cared for him tenderly always, and especially through his passing!"

What better tribute could a guy leave behind? So well said and no more needs adding!

Grieve well! As a relatively recent widower, my heart goes out to you in a most special way. My continuing thoughts and prayers for sure! Just anything else, don't hesitate even one moment to ask. By now, our beloveds have certainly met. Hope you and I can soon do the same, in person, in Michigan.
