James F. Keller III, 68, of Slaughters, KY, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY.

He was born on January 1, 1958, in Plaquemine, LA, to Loretta Stassi Keller and the late James F. Keller II. He was the owner and operator of eighth generation Keller Homestead on Hwy 1069 in Manitou, KY where he sold fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs, and meat. He enjoyed fishing and farming. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. James was of the Catholic faith for many years.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Patrick "Chuckie" Keller and William Wade Keller.

His survivors include his wife of twenty-five years, Donna Fenwick Keller of Slaughters; mother, Loretta Stassi Keller of Plaquemine, LA; sons, Joshua (Jennifer) D. Keller of Evansville, IN, Anthony J. Keller of Manitou, and Aaron (Emma) M. Keller of Evansville; daughter, Sophie A. (Brandon) Justus of Evansville; stepdaughters, Crystal M. (Betty) Morphett of Henderson, KY, and Teresa M. Higgs of Slaughters; sister, Jane R. Keller of Plaquemine, LA; brother, Ralph (Dianna) David Keller of Plaquemine; several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Fleming officiating. Burial to be held at a later date.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday at the funeral home.
