James Perry Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Holman-Howe Funeral Homes Lebanon on Apr. 6, 2025.
James A. Perry was born July 20, 1932 near Lebanon, Missouri to Volla W. and Thelma Murphy Perry. He departed this life Sunday, April 6, 2025 in Windsor Estates in Camdenton, Missouri at the age of ninety-two years, eight months and seventeen days.
James grew up and lived most of his life in the Lebanon area. On March 5, 1955, James was united in marriage to the love of his life, Eunice Lowery and together they shared fifty-two years of marriage before she passed away on March 23, 2007.
In addition to his wife Eunice, James is preceded in death by his parents, Volla and Thelma; and his sisters, Virginia Bradshaw and Millie Allen.
James is survived by two sons, Edward Perry and his wife Judy of Eldridge, Missouri and Warren Perry of Lebanon, Missouri; his sister, Geneva Brown of Lebanon, Missouri; six grandchildren, Amy Dampier, Phillip Perry, Chandra Lowden, David Griffin, Cindy Evans and Becky Holton; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
James made his profession of faith when he was young and was baptized by Bro. Jim Sponseller in Mountain Creek. He and Eunice were members at Prosperine Baptist Church.
James was proud to be the proprietor of Perry & Son Construction. He enjoyed working with his sons, doing carpentry work and building homes in and around Lebanon. He was a hard worker and good at what he did.
He and Eunice also enjoyed farm life. They loved living on their farm near Lebanon where they raised cattle and had several horses. James looked forward to fishing and coon hunting in his spare time.
Most of all, James loved his family very much. He looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and having the opportunity to tell them stories and teach them life lessons.
He was a loving father, wonderful grandfather and devoted great-grandfather. He was a trusted neighbor and good friend. We know his family and friends will treasure the memories he made with them for years to come.
A memorial has been established for Bradshaw Cemetery and contributions may be given through the funeral home.
