Mr. James Proffitt was a dedicated person to the youth and families of Tennessee. He was a good-natured person, with a sense of humor. I was recipient of his teachings and his patience, and I am a better person for knowing him. May peace and comfort be with his family and loved ones during this time.

Mr. James Proffitt was incredibly passionate and dedicated to providing treatment and care to the children, youth, and families within the State of Tennessee. I had the pleasure of working with him many times over the past two years.
Working with Mr. Proffitt always seemed to lighten the day and bring a smile to my face, as he always had a humble, upbeat nature about him, as if you had known him your whole life. He will be missed by so many that knew him and greatly missed by those among us who had not had the opportunity to meet him.
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Mr. Proffitt; may you find comfort and peace during this time.
