James "Jimmy", "Jim" Pyles passed away on October 25, 2024, at the age of 75 in Melbourne, FL.
Jim was born at home in Junction West Virginia on November 6, 1948. After serving in the US Army, he moved to Maryland where he began a lifelong career in asphalt services paving many roads and highways across Maryland and Northern Virginia.
Jim was always willing to help anyone who needed it. He could fix anything around the house and any car/truck issue. He loved to watch NASCAR races, Ravens football games, going to the beach, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, fishing, and boating. Jimmy had a special bond with his late granddog, Abby, who we know was one of the first to greet him in heaven singing to him as she would only do for him.
Jim is survived by his wife Mary Pyles, daughter Candace Genest, son-in-law Bill Genest, two granddaughters Madison & Kamryn Genest and many other beloved family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Brandon Pyles, father Harley Pyles, and mother Nellie Pyles (Riggleman).
The family deeply appreciates your support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to the American Diabetes Association – dedicated to Jim.

I am so sorry to hear of the death of my oldest brother. He was a good man and a very loving father. When I asked him to walk me down the isle at my wedding, he did not hesitate. Our father had passed and he was the oldest brother, so I wanted him to do it. We were never really a close nit family, but we loved each other. I send my Love to the family in this trying time. He will be missed by a lot of people. But now he is free to live with our heavenly family. God bless you all.
