James Leroy Rhodes Sr.

It is with devastated hearts that we announced the passing of Leroy Rhodes on November 5, 2025.
Leroy Rhodes, age 80, passed away peacefully after battling cancer, surrounded by his family. He will be remembered for the lasting impact he had on the lives of those around him.
In his passing Leroy is reunited with his mother Dorothy Higdon, his father James Rhodes, and his sister Betty Clapp. Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 61 years Terry Rhodes. His son's James Rhodes Jr. (Hollie) and Glen Rhodes (Tonya). His grandchildren: James Rhodes lll (Briana), Brittany Orms, Dylan Rhodes, Destiny Rhodes (Russell), Zachary Humphrey, and Joshua Rhodes. And great grandchildren: Aleia Orms, Levi Rhodes, Ember Rhodes, and Waylon Brown.
Leroy's purpose in life was his beautiful wife, Terry. He loved being a provider and lived for his family and helping others! In Leroy's younger years he loved hunting and fishing. Leroy was a retired teamster and an active member of Elks Lodge #8. He loved watching the sci fi channel, westerns, UK basketball, and Fox News!
Leroy was a loving husband caring father and devoted grandfather, who will be missed dearly.
Visitation to celebrate Leroy's life will be held from 12 to 8 PM on Tuesday November 11th with an Elks Lodge Ceremony at 6pm and Wednesday 10 to 12 November 12th at Bosse Funeral Home (1355 Ellison at Barret Avenues, 40204). His funeral service will start at 1pm with the burial to follow at St Michael Cemetery in Louisville KY.
