My sincere condolences to James family and friends. I work for Compass Group at the Corporate office in NC. I worked with James many years ago when he was with Eurest. We recently exchanged a work related email not too long ago and he remembered me. James was always such a pleasant person to work with. I am in such disbelief by his passing. Life is too short. Love and appreciate everyone that is close to you.

Words cannot express how big of a loss this is. Uncle Jay, we love you. Forever and always. I'll always remember our adventures together, even the ones that can't be said out loud! Lol. Until we meet again, rest easy Uncle Jay.

James was a good soul. He knew how to read a room which made him an amazing asset at the Cal Poly Humboldt venues he supervised. Due to his sincere welcoming personality I had planned on staying in touch with him now that I'm retiring from CPH. I will miss you James. Even now I can see you smiling in my minds eye.

I´ll never forget you James. Thanks for helping me in all my career endeavors over the years. Thanks for helping me believe in myself. You were a cheerleader to everyone you came in contact with. You always found opportunity where others could not see it. You will be greatly missed.

I went all through school and graduated with Jay. I spent a lot of time with him and his family in Caratunk in my early high school years and had a lot of good times and laughs with them all especially Jay. I was there when he 1st found his love for guitars & the very 1st thing he learned to play was the opening to Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns N' Roses, I think he wore that 1st guitar out playing that (lol). Jay's travels may have taken him around the world but to all of us up here in small town Bingham/Moscow/Caratunk Maine area Jay will always be a hometown boy. Jay was a good friend and always fun to be around. He is going to be sadly missed by everyone that knew him. My deepest sympathy to his whole family. I didn't know his wife & son: but to all of you, Anita, Chopper & Caitlin who I know well, my heart breaks for you as I know there is a void there that can never be filled. Just take a little peace in knowing that Jay's presence will always be with you everyday in some form or another no matter what you may be doing. I know I as well as all of our other classmates are going to miss Jay very much. Sincerely, Joey McKenzie
