It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Leslie "Les" Riggs, age 48, of Louisville, Kentucky, who left this world on Saturday, January 11, 2025.
Les was a devoted husband, an adoring father, a cherished brother, and a beloved papa, uncle, cousin, and friend. His warm and welcoming nature made him a true friend to many, and those fortunate enough to know him will forever remember his radiant spirit and genuine kindness. Les had a unique knack for "fixing shit," be it cars or various equipment, and was celebrated as a master of the grill, relishing every opportunity to cook for those he loved. A true jack of all trades, he could engage anyone with his lively stories and bright laughter, lighting up every room he entered.
Born on May 13, 1976, in Radcliff, Kentucky, Les was the beloved son of Donald Riggs and Mary (Brandenburg) Noe. He was preceded in death by his cherished sister, Christy Riggs-Curtsinger, leaving behind an enduring legacy of love and camaraderie.
Les is survived by his loving wife, Vanessa Marshall; his treasured daughter, Shelby Humphrey; his devoted brother, Brian Riggs; and his adoring niece, Callie Riggs, a loving stepdaughter, Lacy Marshall, He also leaves behind his aunt, Evelyn Richard (mom), along with cherished cousins Herbert Richard, Gerald Richard, and Greg Dillander and many friends and extended family members who will hold his memory close to their hearts.
The visitation in honor of Les will take place on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. at the same location.
