James Riley "JP" Patterson

James Riley Patterson (J.P., Pa and Papa) passed away at the age of 80, peacefully at his residence with his family by his side. 

James loved his family, he loved the beach and fishing. His favorite football team was the Pittsburg Steelers and his favorite NASCAR driver was Dale Earnhardt and then Earnhardt Jr.   He enjoyed sitting on the porch or leaning against the railing at the beach and waving to all his friends.  James retired from Burlington in 1999 after thirty-three years of employment. 

James was preceded in death by his parents, Lionel LaFlamme and Ruby Patterson; his son, James Franklin (Frankie) Patterson and a grandson Jordan Patterson. 

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 63 years, Faye Patterson of the home; one sister, Sylvia of Fayetteville; one brother, Gerald (Pat) of St. Pauls; one daughter, Barbara Maynor (Vince); two sons, Rickey Patterson (Donna), David (Cathy) all of St. Pauls; seven grandchildren, Keisha (Rania) (Will) Johnson, Dana Maynor, James Phillip Patterson (Danille), James McKinley Patterson, David Patterson, Jade Patterson, Kaitlin (Travis) Hickman and Veondra Parker. seventeen great grandchildren; special friends, Jason, Robert and Randy.
