James Ritchie Obituary
James G. Ritchie age 86 of Springfield passed away, Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Kettering Main Hospital. He was born March 16, 1938 the son of the late Isom and Roxie (Jones) Ritchie.
James was employed with Industrial Waste Management as a truck driver for many years. James enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. Moreover, he cherished fishing, hunting, working in the yard, and good ol' NASCAR. To those who knew and loved James he will be missed greatly.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his dear wife, Naomi (Lewis) Ritchie; and eleven brothers and sisters. He is survived by children, James Michael (Vicky) Ritchie, Carlos W. (Stephanie) Ritchie, and Terry (Roger Newsome) Oberschlake; seven grandchildren, Lindsay (Matthew) Smith, Melissa (Nicholas) Owens, Megan Johnson, Brandon (Susan) Ritchie, Sierra (Paul) Hayes, Jessica (Daniel) Preston, and Andrew Hagan; nine great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family members. A private service will be held Thursday, June 6th by the family under the care of Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, Fairborn. James will be laid to rest at Byron Cemetery.
