James Ritts Obituary
OLEAN - James Walter Ritts, 82, passed away Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2025) after a short illness, with the West Fall House staff by his side.
Jim was born May 22, 1942, in Buffalo, and he worked for SubCon Industries for over 30 years before retiring.
In his free time, Jim enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and bowling. He also loved watching western movies and listening to Beatles and Elvis music. He also enjoyed going out for coffee and donuts and attending Christmas Eve church service.
Jim will be missed by the Foster family, who took him in on holidays and with whom he enjoyed making homemade apple cider.
Jim is survived by his advocate, Molly Foster; and his extended Intandem family.
He was predeceased by his longtime friend, Susan Murray.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 29, 2025) at the Casey, Halwig & Hartle Funeral Home, 3128 W. State Road, Olean. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m.. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery.

I remember watching Jim as he was hauled up on the stage at Darien Lake and he just played along. Whew that was a close one!
