James Isaac Rivera

James Isaac Rivera, known by some as Isaac, age 76, of Sidney, NE joined the Lord and Savior on December 24, 2025. Memorial Services will be held on January 10, 2026 at the Lodgepole Valley Youth Camp in Sidney. Burial will take place at a late date in the spring at the Cheyenne National Cemetery in Cheyenne, WY

Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Isaac was a man defined by his devotion to God, family, and country. A man of deep conviction, his favorite Bible verse was Psalm 91, which served as a source of strength and protection throughout his life.

Isaac enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving with distinction during the Vietnam War from 1966 to1969. Through his leadership and dedication, he attained the rank of Sergeant and lived his life by the Corps motto, "Semper Fidelis"-always faithful. Isaac's legacy of love and service continues through his family.

Isaac is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Rivera (Huaracha); their children, Frank Rivera, Aaron Rivera, and Keith Rivera and husband Jeff Leanna, and a large, adoring family of numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a wide network of beloved family and friends, and Isaac wished to specifically acknowledge Karrie Bivens (granddaughter's mother).

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Rivera, and his mother, Rebecca Rivera (Amador).
