James Robert “Rambo” Marsee Upton, age 23 of Speedwell, TN, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024. He was born October 1, 2000, and is the son of Charles Lee Upton and  Jwana Lynn Marsee. James was a graduate of Cumberland Gap High School. James was also a Volunteer Fire Fighter, who was loved and respected by so many in his Community. James was a kind soul with a big heart, who loved helping anyone in need. James loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and four wheeling with his friends. He attended every Cumberland Gap Football and Basketball game played. He was a Big Gamer, who will be greatly missed. Precded in death by Sister, Tara Rain Marsee, Brother, Charlie Upton, Grandfathers, Charles Upton, Sr. and Mark Hill, and Great-Grandparents, Cam and Juanita Rutherford. 

 

Survivors: Parents, Charles Lee and Jwana Upton; Grandparents, Alice and David Ward, and Faye and Jack Taral; Sister and Brother, Mercedes and Logan Upton; Special Brothers, Edward McGraw, Jr. and Curtis Saylor, Jr.; Special Aunts, Jennifer Trigg and Kathy Coffee; Special Uncles, Gordon Mashburn and Ronnie Rutherford. A host of other Aunts and Uncles in Fort Wayne IN, and very special Friends, Austin, Tonya, and Jeff Womack; and also his Girlfriend, Haley Morrell. 

 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with Funeral Services beginning at 4:00 P.M. Interment to follow at Yoakum Cemetery in Speedwell. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of James Robert Marsee Upton.
