James Alfred Roberts JR.

James Alfred Roberts Jr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Tamarack Ridge surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. Born on July 7, 1954, James was raised in Macedonia, Ohio, by his devoted parents, Bernard and Marguerite (Noss) Prochaska, whose guidance and affection shaped the man he became.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Marguerite Prochaska, siblings, Thomas Roberts and Marlene Ackley, as well as his niece, Jodi Hensley.
James is lovingly remembered by his brother, Michael (Kristine) Prochaska; and by his many nieces and nephews-David Golubski, Bryan Golubski, Melissa Prochaska, Robyn Dixon, Lindsay Prochaska, Lori Damicone, James Hensley, and Becky Sipple-along with his 18 great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom brought joy to his life.
James was a proud member of the Eagles Club and found happiness in simple pleasures. He enjoyed camping and took great pride in tending to the flowers around his campsite. A dedicated Cleveland Browns fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on his team. He also loved strawberry milkshakes, westerns, and anything true crime. To his family, he was affectionately known as "kickit," the reliable handyman who could fix just about anything and was always there when needed.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 4:00–6:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service at Carlson Funeral Home ~ Brunswick Chapel, 1642 Pearl Rd., Brunswick, OH 44212. A graveside service at Resurrection Cemetery in Valley City will take place Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Noon.
James will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
