Jim hired me on as Director of Operations at Veniculum - the parent corp for Spotnails and Ace Fasteners. I count the time I spent working with him as the most interesting and exciting time in my career. He was the ultimate leader - a blunt, honest person who simply held you the goals you commited to. He turned those tanked companies into flourishing, forward moving enterprises, I have not seen the likes of it since. I admired and respected him greatly and I counted him as one of my best friends.

Jim and I go way back to high school football and we kept in touch for many years. He was our senior class president. I think our 50th HS Reunion was the last time I saw him. I remember he played football for the University of Minnesota and in the Rose Bowl. I moved to Seattle right after graduation and the Golphers came out here to play our UW Huskies. Jim and I would talk about, what if I had played for the Huskies - 2 high school teammates would have played against each other in the Rose Bowl. He did it- I was the dreamer. He was a great guy, and a real success in the business world. I value his friendship. Condolences to Family & Friends. RIP Buddy.

He always had a quick wit and could always come up with a funny joke when
small gatherings seemed to get a little boring, always interesting conversation
and good business advisor. He will be sorely missed.
