James Alfred Rose (82) passed away peacefully in his Seaford home on December 27, 2025. He was born on June 20, 1943 in Kirksville, MO to his parents Herman Levi “Pete” Rose and Opal Irene Rose (Herron). James was the youngest son and survived his brothers LeRoy and Benny Rose with whom his love of fishing and hunting began in childhood. James shared a lifetime of fishing & hunting memories to the day of his death with his cherished friends who were like family to him. James proudly served in The United States Navy in the Seabees from 1961-1964. With the carpentry skills obtained in the military , he went on to build his company J.A Rose Construction, Inc. He was a master craftsman and truly never stopped working. James is survived by his 3 children James Robert Rose of Union Beach NJ, Julie Rose Moschella of Northport, NY and Paula Susan Rose of Corpus Christi, TX, his son-in-law Frank Moschella and his 8 grandchildren Allison Kerr (Rose) & Jack Rose, James, Luke & Grace O’Sullivan and Mikaela, Elizabeth & Chase Moschella.
