Marbel, we wish we could have made it to Texas or Colorado, and please know we have had you and the kids in our thoughts and prayers. We know our loss can in no way compare to yours, but we hope our fond memories of him and the love he emanated will help. Jim was an amazing man. Every thought we have of Jim brings smiles, warmth, and light. What a great legacy, and we will strive to carry his banner with us. Everywhere he was, that place was better because of his presence. I just learned this morning (Oct 10) of Jim's passing. We were classmates and briefly roommates at the USAF Academy. He was known for his kind and gentle nature. So ironic that the Class of '83 just celebrated our 35th reunion the last week of September. Jim passed away on the same day (28 Sep) that our class memorialized all those from our class who are no longer with us. None of us knew Jim was now one of the departed. But let's praise God we who believe will meet him again in heaven. My sympathies to his family. God Bless.

Marbel, Chris, and Gracie, our sincerest condolences. Jim was a wonderful and gentle man who doted on Chris and Gracie and was an inspiration to many of the kids at Concordia. My condolences to the family. I was a childhood friend of Jim's. We did everything together as kids. We spent many hours practicing baseball in the back yard and basketball in the basement on the farm. Miss you my Friend.

Jim and I were on Wing Staff together at the USAF Academy. He was a Leader then and is a Leader still. He was one of the funniest guys I know; could make me belly laugh. I know God will embrace him. I'm sad but a richer person for having known Jim Roy. Stellar Man among men. I'm humbled by the example he set for all of us.

We have been praying for you that the God of all comfort will make His presence known to you and that you will feel His arms around you. We are very sad to learn of Jim's passing. He was a wonderful person.

My heartfelt condolences and prayers to Jim and his family. I knew Jim at the Academy; we had a few classes together, and jumped out of perfectly good airplanes together. Jim went on to excel in academics and on the Wings of Blue, but he was always a humble, good man. May you rest in eternal peace with our Father.

My heart goes out to Jame's family and to Steve, Debra and Patty whom I went to school with in Wolf Point. All of the Roy kids twere bright lights smart, motivated, good looking and kind. I am so sad to hear that James is gone. May good memories lessen these hard times for the family.

My sincerest condolences to James' family. As a member of USAFA Class of '83, I remember him fondly and thank him for his service to our nation and his community.

Such a good, good person. I will always remember how kind Jim was as he shared his faith with me one afternoon in 1984 sitting in my apartment. Small seeds planted that in time took root. Nothing but fond and warm thoughts when thinking of him. My heartfelt prayers for peace on Jim's family.

Jim, you'll be missed by all your classmates. Having recently attended our 35th class reunion last week and also attended our class memorial ceremony, I was reminded of those who have faithfully served our country and joined our Father so early in life. My prayers for your family and that their faith will guide them through the days ahead.

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. My son Ty Wolf has played baseball with Christopher for several years. Most recently this last summer with Lonestar Baseball. My prayers are with you and your entire family.
