James "Jim" Allen Rush, 77, of Troy, Kansas was promoted to Heaven Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Atchison Senior Village, Atchison, Kansas.

Jim was born on July 3, 1948, in St. Joseph, Missouri to Hylen and Veda (Stricker) Rush.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Troy, Kansas. Jim worked for Sara Lee as a maintenance engineer and retired from St. Joseph's Foods. He loved flying and was a private pilot for many years. He also was a licensed Practical Nurse and a professional photographer. Jim was a police officer for Horton and Hiawatha in the 1970's. He also farmed in his younger years with his family.

Jim married Brenda Conard on October 5, 1991, in Troy, Kansas. She survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Veda Rush, father, Hylen Rush, granddaughter, Aleena Rohrer, grandson, Cameron Mason.

Additional survivors, daughters, Angela Scherer (Scott), Mary Beth Frye (Doug), Rebecca Rich, Rebecca Susuico (Fabian), Paul Blakley, Dustin Rush and Dillon Rush.

Brothers, Wayne Rush (Cindy) and Ray Rush.

Sisters, Donna Burrell (John), Jean Huffines (Kenneth) and Audrey Rush (Daniel Phifer).

Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

At the First Baptist Church, Troy, Kansas.

Visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. 1 hour prior to service at the church.

Inurnment at a later date.

Memorials: Doniphan County Pet Rescue or the First Baptist Church of Troy, Kansas.

Friends may call after 11:00 A.M to 5:00 PM Tuesday at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas.
