James Philip Salas

On November 14, 2023 James Philip Salas passed away unexpectedly in Chicago, IL. Born July 9, 2002 in Chicago Heights, this soft spoken young man with a big heart was beloved by his brothers and family. An animal lover who enjoyed karate classes in his younger years, he began his education at U.S. Grant Elementary School in South Chicago Heights.
James will be missed by his father Philip Salas, his mother Amy Thurston, four brothers Francisco Sanchez Jr, Roberto Sanchez, Sabastian Sanchez, Calixtro Salas, grandmother Vickie Cobb and stepmother Amanda Salas. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Arnulfo Salas and Linda Salas, maternal grandfather James Thurston, stepfather Francisco Sanchez and Paternal great grandmother Mel Cobb-Long.

Arrangements entrusted to Sadowski Funeral home of Hegewisch: 13300 S. Houston Ave., Chicago, IL 60633. Visitation for James will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Prayer Service to commence at 6:30 pm. Interment Private.
