James Sarpolis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brewer & Sons Funeral Homes - Brooksville Chapel from May 5 to May 6, 2025.
James R. Sarpolis passed away at the Morton Plant North Bay Hospital on May 4, 2025, at age 74. He was born on July 13, 1950, in Binghamton, New York. He started his retirement in New Port Richey, Florida, on April 1, 2016.
He is predeceased by his father, William Sarpolis Sr., his mother, Edith (Gerisch) Sarpolis, and his brother, William "Billy" Sarpolis Jr. He is survived by his loving family, wife, Mary (Van Marter) Sarpolis, his son, Brandon J. Sarpolis, daughter-in-law Nikki (Sterner) Sarpolis, numerous sisters and brothers-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
James worked for the McCormick & Company and the New York State Department of Labor. He also started and ran a successful healthcare brokerage for several years. His special memories include his marriage to his wife, Mary, and the birth of his only child, Brandon. His passion was baseball, and he loved his New York Yankees, whom he watched most of his life. He also loved his Buffalo Bills. He enjoyed spending time with family; going for walks with Herbie the Chihuahua; sitting on the porch having a beer while listening to 60's Gold on SiriusXM; and watching his vast movie collection that exceeded 250 titles.
A life celebration will be held in Binghamton, New York, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate
to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association in James' memory.
