James Jimmy Saurs

James "Jimmy" L. Saurs, 60, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 20, 2025, in Harrisburg. He was born on April 22, 1965, to Edward K. Saurs, Sr. and the late Sonja Saurs-Wiley (Hutchinson).
Jimmy was known for his kind heart, quick wit, and the way he could make anyone feel like family. As a young man, he earned the rank of Life Scout, and the lessons of compassion, service and perseverance stayed with him throughout his life. Jimmy's warmth, generosity, and joyful spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sonja Saurs-Wiley and his sister Mabel Williams. He is survived by his father, Edward K. Saurs, Sr.; sister, Kathy Lee and husband Daniel of Harrisburg; brothers Edward K. Saurs, Jr. and wife Laura of New Jersey, and SFC Ryan C. Saurs and wife Christy of Grantville; his best friend, Michele McGinnis; several nieces and nephew; and numerous great-nieces and great nephews who adored their Uncle Jimmy. He truly cherished the people in his life and found joy in even the smallest moments. Those who were lucky enough to know Jimmy will remember his laughter, his stories, his generosity, and his unwavering love for his family and friends. His memory will continue to shine brightly in all the lives he touched. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 29th, at 11 o'clock at the East Harrisburg Cemetery.
