My wife and I are so sorry to hear of Jim´s passing. I taught with Jim at Davidson Middle School. Jim along with me and 2 other teachers starting the "Flexible Scheduling" program in Southgate. Now it is known as "Block Scheduling" and was very innovative at the time. Jim was such a dedicated teacher and wonder friend. We spent so much time developing the program and sharing laughs about many teaching situations. When my wife and I were planning on having children Jim was so supportive and we talked about how wonder and rewarding family life is. I will always be so grateful to Jim for those encouraging conversations. When Jim moved to the high school as the library/media specialist I also moved there as a biology teacher. We spent many lunches together in his office "solving" all the world problems at the time. We had so many funny conversations. As a media specialist Jim worked with me developing educational videos on using the microscope. We usually filmed our videos at his house and Jim always wanted to refilm over and over to get it just right. Jim was so patient and creative.
I am so sad to hear of Jim´s passing. I cherish all my great memories of our friendship.
