Three years ago I lost the man of my dreams and the love of my life - Jim and I became a couple after years of knowing each other - we were lucky to be able to be together through the end of his life - Jim had been alone for 15 years as a bachelor and needed someone to care about and someone to care about him as a person - I have survived these three years because I now dwell on how he lived and not so much how he died - I am always proud to be Mrs. James A. Sexton

On this day of love I remember how much I have loved you -we were together all the time because there was no where either of us wanted to be - we went together for Dr. appointments - meetings - rides in our convertibles - evenings of wine and food in our motor home and trips across Kentucky - we were perfect for each other - we were each others best friend - I will always love you

With all of my heart, all of my breath, all of my tears and all of my smiles I remember you as the gift God gave me to love for the rest of your life - the best gift I´ve ever received right next to my sons - every day I start my day remembering you and every night before I sleep telling you I love you When we see each other again we will never leave each other

I can´t believe I have survived a year without Jim by my side - I love him with all my heart - we started every day together and ended it together - He is the best man I´ve ever known and the most wonderful Poppy to our grand children - we were soul mates that were lucky to find each other and have our years together - I will forever look for you in the beauty of life - stars, rainbows, butterflies, white feathers and Pennie´s from Heaven - YOU ARE LOVE

Jim was perfect for me - I was so happy that he chose me to be his wife and spend the rest of our life together - I never dreamed it would only be 8 years - I wanted it to be forever - when you love big - you hurt big - I am broken and my life will never be complete again - I always told him I would find him again and I will - only then will I know true happiness

I was shocked when my son shared the tragic passing of Jim. I would have been at the funeral but am out of town and will not return for a few more days. To Jims famiily, know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. The years Jim and I worked together in the JCPS were beneficial for both of us. He was a fierce advocate for assisting students to succeed. He ran a tight ship as Principal and was a no nonsense person who was efficient, direct and at times tough-but always fair. His leadership style was admired by many. May he rest in peace. Joe Liedtke former duPont Manual Priincipal

I had Mr. Sexton for homeroom and Biology in the 10th grade! My desk partner in Biology became a Veterinarian, I always thought maybe Mr. Sexton inspired that decision!! He was a great teacher! I'll never forget how he told me one day that he'd probably need glasses before the year was out - from the glare of my braces, he thought I talked too much!! He will always be one of my favorite memories of high school! gone too soon, prayers for his family...
