James Shadell Obituary
James “Jimmy” Shadell, 83, a native and resident of Raceland, LA, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 10:45 am on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland. LA. A graveside service will be at 11:00 am at St. Mary Cemetery, Raceland, LA.
He is survived by his sons, Billy Shadell (Tracey) and Chad Shadell (Norma); grandchildren, Melvin Crosby, Christina LeBouef (Bo) and Cassie Shadell (Brennan); great grandchildren, Elise LeBouef, Carter LeBouef, Paisley LeBouef, Athena Crosby, Remy Crosby, Oakley Guidry, Willow Guidry and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Lucille Shadell; son, Michael Shadell; granddaughter, Olivia Shadell; parents, William and Helen Shadell and brother, Leroy Shadell, Sr.
Jimmy enjoyed gardening, going to the casino, feeding his hummingbirds, driving his truck and meeting people. He loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
